Wishlist Wednesday : StudioZen
This Etsy seller from Tacoma, WA speaks to my passions for painting, modernist design, and eastern philosophy. The triptych below speaks to the meditative line work of Brice Maden as well as Pollack's free from drips, but implies more planning and consideration as it is well organized around the circular orbs. It is difficult to tell which aspect of the painting (line work vs orbs) determines the other; they communicate with each other very well and one could not exist without the other. Both composition and color palette effortlessly offers a calming energy.
